Forecast of shrimp production in 2020 of some countries in the world<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The impact of the COVID-19 epidemic is reducing shrimp supply in 2020 and causing fundamental, longer-term changes to the shrimp market. Shrimp production in India is down at least 20% this year to between 450,000 and 525,000 tons. In Vietnam, the production of vannamei and black tiger shrimp decreased slightly than India, about 5-10% to 600.00-650,000 tons. In Thailand, shrimp production ranges from 220,000 to 250,000 tons. In the first six months of 2020, despite facing many difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, shrimp exports still reached $1.5 billion, up 5.7% over the same period last year.
